Originally, Kleena Blinds and Curtains started with a Blind and Curtain cleaning laundry based in Brisbane. It didn’t take long to realise that we would never be able to keep up with demand for the services we provided with enquiries coming in from areas and regions all over the countryside. It was then that we made the decision to franchise our system.

The essence of the Kleena Franchise is the opportunity for an individual, a couple, a family, a company or virtually anyone to start and run their own business with the support and direction of a Franchise partner. The Kleena business is simple to run and will give you a substantial return and income. It can be run from your home or from a commercial property.

Using the latest state-of-the-art Ultrasonic Technology we are able to produce the most amazing results. Once we put the items through our Ultrasonic cleaning system the blinds and curtains look like they have been reconditioned. Our specialised cleaning system can remove dust, dirt, bacteria, nicotine, mould and most stains.

What type of people buy a Kleena Blinds and Curtains Franchise?
Kleena Franchise owners and operators can be every day people with varied backgrounds and from all walks of life. It could be a husband and wife team, a family, a semi-retired person/couple, someone who may have been made redundant or even a person looking for that ‘sea change’ and is over working for someone else.

Do I need to have experience in cleaning curtains and blinds to be a Franchisee?
No. It is unlikely that our Franchisees will have a background in cleaning Window Furnishings (Blinds, Drapes and Curtains). Although it would certainly be an advantage it is definitely not essential.

What training will I receive?
Initially, you will receive 4 days of training where you will learn how to clean and repair all types of blinds and curtains, hospital bed screens and hospital equipment. This is dependant on which Franchise option you purchase. You will also learn how to quote for the repairs of blinds and curtains.

Included in the initial training will be segments devoted to optimising and growing your business. We will show you the best ways to approach and acquire new clients.

What ongoing support will I receive?
When you join Kleena you are in business for yourself but not by yourself.

The Kleena Blinds and Curtains team is there to assist you. Technical and Operational advise is only a phone call away.

From time to time Kleena will invite you along to attend trade nights where extra training and support are given in new techniques to achieve better results. There is no charge to attend these nights.

Kleena Blinds and Curtains are there to assist you and support you. Your success is our success.

Are Blinds and Curtains cleaned on-site?
Window furnishings are not normally cleaned on site. This is simply because of the time needed for items to dry properly. Ideally, you would set your business up at either a factory unit or your home.

Blinds and Curtains or other items to be cleaned Ultrasonically are picked up from your clients, taken back to your premises where the Kleena Ultrasonic cleaning system is applied. Once cleaned these would be dried either by being hung or in some cases put through a dryer or accelerated drying chamber.

What would a typical day involve for a Franchisee?
A typical day would see our Franchisees picking up Blinds and Curtains, Hospital Bed Screens and other items to be Ultrasonically cleaned from 3-6 different locations. At the same time as picking up items the Franchisee would be dropping items off that had been cleaned the day before. This drop off and pick up activity could take between 1-3 hours depending on the distance between the locations.

Upon returning to the Franchisees place of business, they would put the items through our specialised cleaning process and then hang them to dry. Typically 3-6 sets of Blinds or Curtains would take approximately 1-3 hours to complete.

On average, a normal day for a Kleena Blinds and Curtains Franchisee would be between 4-7 hours work per day.

However, the above estimates change if the Franchisee decides to build their business dramatically and engage staff to assist or even run the business.

Do I have to work weekends and public holidays?
The choice is yours. In normal situations, a Kleena Blinds and Curtains Franchisee wouldn’t work weekends and Public Holidays.

Can I exit the Kleena Blinds and Curtains Franchise Network if things don’t work out for me?
Yes. Sometimes circumstances change and there could be a need for you to exit the system. The Kleena Blinds and Curtains Franchise is your business and therefore can be on-sold.
There are some conditions to the sale which are covered in our Franchise Agreement.
